ETLTC GLOBAL AI HACKATHON:
This initiative is designed to provide students from our partner universities with an exciting opportunity to represent their institutions and countries on a global stage, while developing practical skills in artificial intelligence, teamwork, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. The hackathon aligns strongly with ETLTC’s mission of nurturing student leadership and preparing learners for top universities and future careers in an increasingly AI-driven world.
1. Team Formation
Students will participate in teams of 3–5 members.
Teams can be:
Formed within the same university, or
Cross-institutional, encouraging global collaboration (e.g., 2 students from University X and 2–3 from University Y).
Multiple teams from the same university are welcome.
Individual participants may also register and be matched with international peers.
2. Accessibility
No prior AI or coding experience is required.
Students from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to join.
3. Participation Fee
A nominal fee of USD 50 per participant applies.
4. Conference & Publication Opportunity
Participants will engage in the hackathon as part of the ETLTC Summer and Winter Conferences.
Teams wishing to develop their hackathon project into a research paper will be eligible to submit a follow-up paper free of cost for consideration in the annual ETLTC Scopus-indexed proceedings.
PAPERS ACCEPTED FOR THE SUMMER/WINTER CONFERENCES IN JULY/JANUARY WILL BE PUBLISHED FREE OF COST IN A SCOPUS-INDEXED ETLTC CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS JOURNAL.
5. Collaboration Platforms
Teams may collaborate using global platforms such as Devpost and Discord, enabling seamless international teamwork.
Students will:
Work collaboratively in teams to design and develop innovative AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges.
Gain hands-on experience in problem-solving, ideation, and project execution.
Present their solutions in a competitive yet supportive international environment.
Build global networks and enhance their academic and professional profiles.
This experience serves as a natural progression for students looking to elevate their skills to an international level.
We encourage participation from students across all disciplines and grade levels, including:
STEM fields
Business and entrepreneurship
Design and creative arts
Social sciences and humanities
Successful teams typically bring together diverse skill sets, including:
